A little history: The Boomerangs (originally called The Boomers) started as a group of friends who had played "Classic Rock" when it was new but had since gone on to other professional careers. The exact details of the genesis of the group are somewhat fuzzy (a lot of wine was involved) but the group solidified into a band and played at various parties and other venues in the Charlottesville area for a number of years. The group evolved over time and members came and went but the central focus was always classic rock for dancing. The Boomerangs went on hiatus during 2020-2021, but like all good Boomerangs, we are back! We have recently re-formed with some of the old members and some new members and have moved to acoustic covers of classic rock and other popular songs.
